Now, Japanese carmaker raised the game to the new level with the 2020 Nissan Leaf E+. Leaf E+ comes with new motors and battery pack. The new battery pack will increase the range by 40 percent and it will offer a new Quick Charging system. The electric motor also comes with a major improvement. The new motor will deliver around 10 percent more horses than the current one. When it comes to the interior and exterior design, 2020 Leaf E+ does not visually depart from the regular Leaf model.
2020 Nissan Leaf E+ Comes With Unique Design
When it comes to design, Leaf E+ looks the same as the regular Leaf variant. However, the 2020 Nissan Leaf E+ will get slight upgrades, mostly up front. The front fascia is revised and it adds more blue highlights. Also, the “e+” logo is added and it sits under the charging port. We already saw the spy shots of the base Leaf model.
We can say that those two models will look almost the same. Knowing that Nissan will once again bring a stylish car that looks very modern and handsome. Unique design is present and some styling cues are looking sporty. Front and rear bumpers are perhaps perfect examples of sportiness. The bubbly design is long gone now and Leaf now finally looks like a modern hatchback. Also, Nissan will offer a two-tone color scheme once again.
2020 Nissan Leaf E+ Interior Changes
From the inside, this hatchback will get minor refreshments only. The design is clean and modern and there is no real need for major upgrades at the moment. The 2020 Nissan Leaf E+ comes with plenty of high-tech features and systems. Also, the list of standard equipment from the inside is more than good. Leaf E+ comes with the standard 7-inch infotainment display that was new last year.
The instrument cluster looks very simple and the center stack is wide. Blue stitching is visible on the seats, door panels, and steering wheel. Optionally, you can equip the cabin with the leather upholstery and matte chrome finishes. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, along with the navigation and Nissan Connect system. Current 2019 model repositioned battery pack and the cargo space is increased.
2020 Nissan Leaf E+ To Run 284 Miles On a Single Charge
Current Leaf model is producing 148 HP and 235 lb-ft of torque. Now, the 2020 Nissan Leaf E+ will arrive with major advantages over the base model. Leaf E+ offers new battery pack and electric motor. Thanks to this, this hatchback will be stronger, quicker and faster to charge.
The new model will generate 215 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. That is a 10 percent improvement. Acceleration will be better as well and top-speed will be at a higher level now. Whatsoever, E+ model will run 284 on a single charge. The new battery pack also adds a new Quick Charging system.
Price and Release Date Of The 2020 Nissan Leaf E+
The forthcoming 2020 Nissan Leaf E+ will start at around $43,000. The base Leaf model will cost slightly over $30,000. This hatchback will launch in Japan in the coming months.
United States will also get the E+ model in the coming months. Nissan’s latest vehicle will hit the European markets in the third quarter of 2019.
