Nissan presented its newest IMQ concept in Geneva, an electric crossover that will be sold mainly in Europe. It is the next-generation of crossovers, a model that will bring plenty of novelties. The IMQ model will ride on multiple electric motors and the all-wheel-drive setup. Japanese carmaker clearly has a vision for its future lineup of crossovers and SUVs.
The interior will be futuristic and modern. IMQ will arrive with Intelligent Mobility technology. Exterior looks futuristic as well. Some styling cues are quite strange, you either like or you don’t. A ProPilot Assist will be in the offer too. This crossover will deliver over 200 horses and torque figures will be astonishing.
2020 Nissan IMQ Design Looks Unique
The upcoming 2020 Nissan IMQ will be a mid-size crossover. This model offers something really new as the exterior design looks unique. However, most of you will find strange how this crossover looks. It is a strange design but it looks like the future-car. The design is clean and the shape is quite appealing. The V-motion grille is toned-down and it blends into the hood vertically. Horizontally, the same grille blends into the front bumper. Hood sports chromed edges.
The rear end comes with a unique tailgate. Styling is another great thing about the 2020 IMQ. A three-dimensional ridge on the lower parts looks handsome. Those layers are extending through the whole length of the vehicle. 22-inch tires are crazy, as the tires will now “communicate” with the driver. Tire information shows up on the large display. Not only the driver can see the tire pressure and temperature, but also tire health and level of grip.
2020 Nissan IMQ Offers Futuristic Interior
The interior of the all-new 2020 Nissan IMQ will mix traditional Nissan’s cues with modern technology. Interior looks futuristic and space from the inside is great. There will be room for four persons. IMQ offers four individual seats finished in two-tone fabric upholstery. Furthermore, the instrument panel looks like the highlight of the cabin. The dash is modern and center console is really wide.
Tech-wise, the 2020 IMQ will offer a huge 33-inch display in the instrument panel. There is another screen above the center console. This screen will serve for navigation and other personal needs. The steering wheel is nicely designed and it provides perfect visibility of the instrument panel. Nissan will also offer ProPilot Assist technology. This driver-assistance suite offers new sensors, radars, and cameras. Moreover, safety is not an issue with this crossover.
The system that also powers the Note and Serena models will power the upcoming 2020 Nissan IMQ. The system is developed by the e-Power systems and it delivers great acceleration and a great level of torque.
The power is sent precisely and independently to each wheel. That provides great stability. Multiple electric motors are providing 335 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Electric drivetrain will deploy a ProPilot Assist system that will provide better autonomous driving capabilities.
