Nissan is a well-known producer of the beautifully-designed sedans. Perhaps the most popular sedan in Nissan’s lineup is the Altima. The 2020 Nissan Altima will arrive by the end of 2019 and it will look even better. When we speak about the best sedans on the market, Altima has to be among the best. The exterior is a thing of beauty and the interior is incredibly modern and comfortable.
The 2020 Nissan Altima is available in four trim levels and the list of standard equipment is long. The exterior design will see additional improvements that will make this sedan look even sportier than before. Interior also includes a great use of premium materials. Safety rating is very good as well. Literally, Altima has no weakness. A V6 engine provides more than enough power and is fuel-efficient. If you are looking for a perfect family sedan, Altima is perhaps the best answer.
2020 Nissan Altima changes
Unlike the previous versions, the 2020 Nissan Altima won’t suffer many changes. The improvements and upgrades are really minor. However, the exterior design looks astonishing for years now. Up front, grille sports a famous V-shape and it will get some further update. The headlights are now looking more premium and modern than before. The rear end comes with a sportier bumper and horizontal taillights.
The side profile will stay intact. However, the side profile is Altima’s strongest point for sure. The use of character lines and beautiful creases is fantastic. We must credit Nissan’s designer for such perfect styling. Higher trim levels are offering more chrome materials and chrome exhaust tips. You can opt for the optional 18-inch wheels for an even better look.
2020 Nissan Altima offers great interior design
The upcoming 2020 Nissan Altima comes with a great interior design. There is room for five persons and the comfort is great. Even the interior room is among the best-in-class. That includes the legroom, both in the first and second row. The cabin offers a sophisticated feel and the stylish design. Front seats are supportive and cloth upholstery is standard. Of course, leather seats are providing comfort that is on another level. Visibility from the inside is brilliant and we must say the layout of buttons is perfect. Back there, the trunk offers 15.4 cubic feet of space. That is more than average space for a mid-size sedan.
As we already mentioned, Altima offers a long list of standard equipment. That includes the keyless entry, power windows, air conditioning, and push-button ignition. The safety is good and new Altima will now include safety aids such as Cross Traffic Alert and Forward Collision Warning. As in the years before, blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control will be optional.
2020 Nissan Altima powertrain
Unlike its rivals, the 2020 Nissan Altima comes with two engine choices and without the hybrid variant. A gasoline and diesel drivetrains are in the offer and the standard unit is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder. This engine is capable of producing 180 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. The optional engine is a 3.5-liter V6. It delivers 270 horses and 251 lb-ft of twists.
Both engines will offer a CVT transmission. Standard drivetrain provides 27 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. On the other hand, the optional engine generates more power but the fuel economy figures are significantly lower. 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway still doesn’t sound bad at all.
2020 Nissan Altima price and launch date
The all-new 2020 Nissan Altima comes with a price that starts at $36,500. Four trim levels are available and the price for a range-topping model will be significantly higher. However, the base model cost about the same as the Ford Fusion. This mid-size sedan will arrive later in 2019 as a 2020 model.
