The cabin will also benefit from the new horizontal approach and revised features. Under the hood, the 2020 Almera will offer a new-gen 1.6-liter engine. Also, the customers can choose between the manual and CVT transmission. Almera is an extremely popular model in Asia and on some other markets, this sedan is called Nissan Versa.
2020 Nissan Almera Redesign
When Nissan announced the company’s plans for its sedan lineup, Almera was a perfect candidate for a major facelift. The 2020 Nissan Almera will get serious upgrades and it will look impressive. Whatsoever, every Nissan’s sedan looks amazing, especially the exterior design. New Almera will wear a well-known company’s design language.
The compact sedan will keep its signature V-Motion grille and boomerang-shaped headlights. However, bumpers are different now and rear end now comes with the revised taillights. To the sides, the floating roof design is visible and wheels are new. Whatsoever, the 2020 Almera will get the slightly lower stance and it looks slightly wider. A facelift will also include some new exterior colors. That includes Lunar Metallic Gray, Sapphire Blue Metallic and Iridium Metallic Brown.
The interior of the forthcoming 2020 Nissan Almera will be redesigned. The cabin is more spacious now and it will host more modern features. Shapes of the air vents are looking futuristic and comfort is also better now. Nissan will deploy its “Gliding Wing” concept that includes a more horizontal approach and wingspan-like cues.
The steering wheel is new and it looks very sporty. Leather upholstery is still optional, but the base cloth materials are also comfortable. 2020 Nissan Almera Engine Details
The 2020 Nissan Almera will offer different types of engine for different markets. For example, the U.S. variant called “Versa” will arrive with a 1.6-liter gasoline unit. This engine generates 122 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque. The customers can choose between a 5-speed manual and the CVT transmission.
However, the Asian variant will get a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. This output returns 80 hp and it comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Optionally, Almera offers a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 100 horses. The optional engine offers both manual and automatic transmission. The 2020 Almera will ride on the same platform as the Micra model. The same platform underpins new Renault Clio.
Release Date and Price
The upcoming compact sedan will hit the dealerships in the last quarter of 2019. The 2020 Nissan Almera will firstly arrive in Asia. Its sibling, Nissan Versa, will arrive in the United States at the beginning of 2020.
Both models will cost approximately the same. Versa starts at $14,000 and thanks to trim levels, this model will cost up to $19,000.
