The 370Z Nismo model is a high-performance coupe variant that will no longer exist. This model is on sale for almost a decade and now Nissan will introduce the all-new 2020 Nissan 400Z as a replacement. The 370Z, like many other sports cars, have poor profitability recently. Of course, some exceptions could be named. Moreover, this year, Mercedes-Benz offered Nissan the potential partnership in order to develop the performance-oriented convertible model. Nissan refused it because convertibles are facing even lower sales than the coupes.
With that in mind, Nissan will offer a new “Z” car and it is the 400Z model. It will use a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 and it will produce almost 500 horsepower. All-wheel-drive will be standard and even the Nismo variant will be in the offer. The exterior design will look more traditional and the interior will be astonishing.
2020 Nissan 400Z Looks Sporty
The exterior design will look traditional and similar to the 370Z Nismo. The front end sports a recognizable grille that will be slightly wider than usual. The upcoming 2020 Nissan 400Z model will also offer the headlights that are similar to the Nissan Sentra’s headlight units.
The design looks sporty, with the shorter wheelbase and the car will use the 18-inch wheels. However, Nismo variant will get a 20-inch roller. The rear end will look like the 370Z Nismo but with some alternations. The bubbly rear design and the Murano-like taillights are easy to spot.
2020 Nissan 400Z Interior Features
While the interior specs aren’t available yet, you can expect some serious stuff from the Japanese carmaker. The Nissan 400Z will offer astonishing cabin design, far better than the model that it replaces. The infotainment display will be a touchscreen actually and most of the important functions will be on that display.
That means there is no need for a traditional control panel as we used to see on the Nissan’s models. The all-new steering wheel will wear the Z-brand on it and it will look very sleek. The seats will be premium, leather upholstery will happen, in a combination with the Alcantara materials.
2020 Nissan 400Z Engine Specs
The all-new 2020 Nissan 400Z will use the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. This drivetrain can produce 475 horsepower and 451 lb-ft of torque and it can be found under the hood of the current Infiniti Q50 and Q60. However, some rumors are saying this engine will be in the offer for the 400Z Nismo model.
The regular model will deploy some other unit with less power. We are yet to find out if those rumors are true or false. Have in mind the 400Z model will replace the 370Z Nismo and it will deliver more power instantly. The current 370Z Nismo returns 350 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque. That is quite impressive.
2020 Nissan 400Z Price and Release Date
