Nissan Juke has a successor on the US market. From now on, we will see this crossover as 2019 Nissan Kicks. Whatsoever, that is not all from the new SUV. It will succeed in projects of its predecessor. We are happy to hear that company will continue to develop 2019 Nissan Kicks Nismo and 2019 Nissan Kicks Nismo RS variants.
Every fan of Nissan cars knows what does Nismo means. It is a special, performance-oriented version of the vehicle. Well, not too many products deserve the Nismo badge. Juke was very popular and its replacement came surprisingly. So, the new vehicle must start the strong campaign. Yes, 2019 Nissan Kicks will be Juke with a different name, similar design, and almost the same specs. But, it still won’t fill the missing gap for the Juke fans. Well, Nismo and Nismo RS versions could help.
2019 Nissan Kicks Nismo Specs
Under the hood of the regular 2019 Nissan Kicks is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. Paired with an Xtronic CVT transmission, the drivetrain is good for 120 hp and 115 lb-ft of torque. This compact SUV is fuel-friendly and perfect for city cruising.
But, if you want to beef up your crossover, the 2019 Nissan Kicks Nismo could be the right choice. The same engine can produce 200 horsepower with a help from new-generation turbochargers. At the same time, torque level goes up to 190 lb-ft of torque.
Nismo Unique Interior and Exterior Features
The powerful engine is not the only part that makes Nismo models so special. Unique and low suspension, all-wheel drive, and possibly new transmission are boosting the overall impression. Nevertheless, you will recognize the 2019 Nissan Kicks Nismo when you see it thanks to special upgrades on the body. A lot of red accents is the trademark, as well as Nismo badges on the grille and rear end. For the 2019 Nissan Kicks, there will be some new features and we have to wait for the official statement to learn all about it.
Interior is somehow more predictable. Again, red details are everywhere. Sport seats are standard, as always. Finally, the badging is making it sure you won’t mix up Nismo model with some other car.
Even More Fun with 2019 Nissan Kicks Nismo RS
If the regular Nismo model is not enough, the new SUV in the US will go even further to meet fans’ requirements. The 2019 Nissan Kicks Nismo RS raises the horsepower bar to 230 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque. This version is using the special exhaust system and transmission tuning to maximize outputs. We will see what engineers are preparing, but be ready for the SUV that sprints 0-60 mpg in under 6 seconds. Top speed will be around 135 mph, and the vehicle could return 30 mpg on highways.
2019 Nissan Kicks Nismo and Nismo RS Release Date and Price
Believe or not, the new SUV is going to be cheaper than its predecessor. The new 2019 Nissan Kicks will start from $18,000. When it appears, the Nismo model will add $4,000-$5,000 to this price. This version will appear together with RS, probably early next year. More powerful Nismo RS crossover won’t cost less than $27,000.
