The upcoming Mitsubishi concept RA will use a high-efficiency 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine with four cylinders. This unit will benefit from a MIVEC4 system and an all-wheel-drive setup. That means the diesel drivetrain incorporated valve lift control and direct fuel injection for a lower compression ratio. However, the 2.2-liter is capable of producing up to 201 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque.
This concept will use a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission and while the fuel consumption is not reviled yet, we expect a more than average figures. On top of that, Mitsubishi says that the emissions are lowered and are meeting all of the regulations in the U.S. Overall, this coupe will benefit from a use of lightweight materials that should improve both the performance and fuel economy.

The Mitsubishi is yet to announce the pricing and the arrival of the concept RA. On top of that, it is yet unknown if this concept represents a future generation of the Mitsubishi Eclipse.
