The 2019 Mitsubishi i-MiEV is an electric car that comes with an affordable price. Whatsoever, it is the least expensive electric model in the U.S., the dimensions are small and this car is really easy to maneuver with. The steering is superb and the ride is quiet and smooth.
Of course, if you want speed, then you should opt for something else as the i-MiEV is all about driving range. The interior can accommodate up to four passengers, the cabin is practical and simple. The estimated driving range is slightly over 60-miles and it is a perfect city-purpose car.
2019 Mitsubishi i-MiEV exterior provide a unique design
This small electric car offers a very unique exterior design. The styling is more than interesting, especially the headlights that are elongated. Getting in and out is easy thanks to the high roof and the 2019 Mitsubishi i-MiEV comes with four doors.
The wheelbase is short and the tires are skinny. Generally, the design looks modern and kinda funky, everything looks subtle and nicely packed.
2019 Mitsubishi i-MiEV interior look
This is where the changes are more than needed. The interior offers a lot, but most of the features are out of date and are feeling cheap. Plenty of hard plastic materials, especially around the dash are providing not such a comfortable feeling. The 2019 Mitsubishi i-MiEV is out of the competition when it comes to the exterior, sadly. However, there is a huge number of nice and cool features.
For an instance, a 7-inch navigation screen is looking gorgeous and standard 6-speaker audio system is a good addition as well. Moreover, 6-way manual-adjust driver’s seat is standard, along with the keyless entry.
The navigation package is available as an option, the same stands for the rearview camera, parking sensors and real-time traffic system. There are six USB ports, front seats are available with the heating and cooling options and Bluetooth is in the offer as well. The interior can fit up to four passengers, the headroom is ample but the cargo space behind the rear seats is small.
2019 Mitsubishi i-MiEV powertrain
The upcoming 2019 Mitsubishi i-MiEV comes with an electric motor that sits behind the rear seats. This 16-kWh unit adds a lithium-ion battery pack. 66 horses and 145 lb-ft of twists are not quite the best numbers in the class, far from that.
However, the top speed is rated at 80 mph and the mileage is rated at 126 mpg in the city. Range per full charge is 63 miles and the 120-volt home outlet is charging this vehicle for 22 hours. Furthermore, a 240-volt outlet is available and it needs up to six hours to charge the i-MiEV model. A public “Level 3” charging station can charge the battery up to 80 percent in 30 minutes.
2019 Mitsubishi i-MiEV price and release date
The price of the all-new 2019 Mitsubishi i-MiEV starts at $24,500. There is plenty of optional equipment and optional packages so the price could jump in a blink of an eye. The smallest electric vehicle in the U.S. will go on sale at some point in 2019.
