The forthcoming 2020 Infiniti QX80 is a 7-passenger luxury SUV(eight with the available second-row bench seat) that comes with the gorgeous exterior design. Moreover, this full-size SUV offers upscale interior and the performances are great. Thanks to that, the QX80 can tow over 8000 pounds, handling is superb and overall driving manners are astonishing. Sadly, the fuel economy is still pretty low. 2020 Infiniti QX80 will get a minor facelift.
Unfortunately, the 2020 model will get an only minor facelift and small interior updates. That includes latest interior features such as infotainment system and new safety aids. The competition is strong as the arch-rivals are Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, and Land Rover Range Rover.
2020 Infiniti QX80 facelift
The exterior delivers very modern styling and aggressive stance. The facelift will happen up front where the nose now looks kinda weird, but then again, very beautiful. The headlights are slightly narrower and the front grille looks more upscale.
The hood is longer as well, so the front end now looks meaner and more aggressive. All of the styling cues, even the lines and creases are very proportional and the customers can opt for 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels as standard. 22-inch rollers are optional.
Furthermore, all-season tires are in the offer and 2020 Infiniti QX80 gets three new exterior paints. Those colors are Moonstone White, Mineral Black, and Champagne Quartz.
2020 Infiniti QX80 offering very upscale interior
The 2020 Infiniti QX80 is offering a very techy interior. The more luxurious cabin is available in the upper trims and the Infiniti says the inspiration is taken from the jet planes. The materials inside the cabin are premium as the leather seats are offering extreme comfort.
Leather upholstery is available in three different colors and wood trims are boosting the premium feel even more. Wood accents can be found around the dash and center console and the leather upholstery is stainless. The infotainment system is updated and the new display could hit the production.
The room inside the QX80 is ample, however, third-row feels really tight. Sadly, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are not on the offer yet. However, standard equipment is great, and the optional features are even greater.
2020 Infiniti QX80 powertrain
The approaching 2020 Infiniti QX80 will ride on the current engine. A 5.6-liter V8 offers great power and is available with both rear and four-wheel-drive systems.
Moreover, a 7-speed automatic transmission is the only gearbox choice for now. This powerful V8 engine is capable of producing up to 400 HP and 415 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy is not that high, only 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.
Towing capacity and features
This full-size SUV can tow up to 8,500 pounds which are great figures for this segment. Additionally, this SUV offers a Snow mode and Hill Start Assist system.
2020 Infiniti QX80 cost, launch and competitors
Starting price of the upcoming 2020 Infiniti QX80 will be around $65,000. Plenty of available packages and optional equipment could take you to $80,000. This full-size SUV will go on sale in the first quarter of 2020.
