2020 Infiniti Q70 Changes, Release Date and Price

According to the latest rumors, the 2020 Infiniti Q70 will arrive as the same model as the current one. The luxury sedan will undergo some serious changes in 2021. The Q50, Q60 and Q70 models will switch to the standard all-wheel-drive setup later next year. Unfortunately, nothing will happen this year. That means the V6 and V8 engines will remain.

Besides such strong rumors, the Q70 Hybrid model didn’t appear in 2019. The only significant upgrade in 2020 could be the electrified variant. Whatsoever, Infiniti Q70 is still one of the best sedans in the luxury segment. It offers ample interior room with premium details. The exterior looks very upscale and stylish.

2020 Infiniti Q70 To Get A New Platform

According to Nissan, the new platform is a must in order to accommodate electric motor and the battery pack. However, the hybrid model didn’t happen in 2019 and it won’t happen in 2020 as well.
The 2020 Infiniti Q70 will switch to a standard all-wheel-drive platform. Most of the customers will find this news as a huge disappointment. Mostly because the 2020 model won’t get any sort of upgrades. On the other hand, the 2020 Infiniti Q70 will remain elegant and stylish sedan.

The front part offers a gaping grille and the fog lights are integrated into the front bumper. LED headlights are standard, along with the taillights in the back. The stylish design continues to the sides where we can see beautiful character line and gorgeous creases. The 20-inch wheels are available if you opt for the Sport package. Moreover, the same package adds more black gloss features, more elegance, and the sportier stance.

2020 Infiniti Q70 Interior Changes

The forthcoming 2020 Infiniti Q70 will get zero interior changes. Some rumors about the all-new touchscreen proved false so the cabin will stay intact. However, the luxury sedan offers amazing rear legroom which is a huge advantage over the competition. Moreover, the interior is very premium, stylish and classy. Leatherette upholstery is standard and the real leather will be optional.

Plenty of chrome and wood pieces are providing more elegance and the cabin design is very good. Everything from the shapes to the layout of the seats and buttons is at a high level. The 2020 Infiniti Q70 model comes with astonishing premium features and most of them will be standard.

2020 Infiniti Q70 Powertrain

The upcoming luxury sedan will continue to offer the same two drivetrain options. The standard model comes with the 3.7-liter V6 that is rated at 330 horses and 270 lb-ft of torque. A larger and optional 5.6-liter V8 provides 420 HP and 417 lb-ft of twists. Both units will deploy a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The rear-wheel-drive configuration will be offered as standard and the all-wheel-drive will be optional.

A hybrid model that should utilize the standard V6 with the 50-kW electric motor won’t arrive as a part of 2020 model. The standard engine delivers 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. However, the future hybrid variant should beat those numbers with ease.

  1. I have read that Infiniti will go all electric in 2021 and I have read that Infiniti is going bankrupt: I don’t know if either claim is true. And I have heard that there won’t be a 2020 Q70 from an Infinity dealership. I don’t know how true that is either. I have been planning on buying a new Q70 in 2020, and I am hoping that you’ll tell me if I should shop elsewhere. Or, maybe you’ll tell me to buy a 2021 Q70?

  2. I also heard from an Infiniti dealership that there won’t be a 2020 Q70 but it will reappear again in 2021 as a completely new vehicle that will also be electrified.

  3. I wish these Infiniti People would get their act together on these Q70’s .I bought a CTS WITH RUNFLAT tires which I have buyers remorse because I heard they would’nt have any more.I loved my 2013 . I hope they don’t go to RUNFLAT tires and no spare.
